Inside My Make- Up Bag

I am a having a short break from my regular outfit posts, and will show you what's inside my make-up bag! I am no make-up artist nor a make-up junkie updated with almost everything and anything about cosmetics., but I also have my kikay times, so once in a while, I get my hands on these stuffs also aside from pen and paper, and my crafting tools!ahahaha

 So let's begin!

I have plenty of make-up stuffs that made me buy this envelope dotted red clutch just to store everything inside. I am the type, who wants everything in one place so it's a must for me to keep my cosmetics in a bag as big as this. And of course, para di nakakalat at galawin ni Marise. haha! 

Everything inside my make-up bag! Yes you see that right, there's a small pouch inside I'll show you too what it contains later on. :)

Before I apply make-up, I make sure my face is clean and moisturized so every layer of cosmetic I put, my face would still look smooth and not chappy. I use MYRA-E Sun Protect.

Then it's time to apply the base/foundation, which I am pretty meticulous. I want the base to look as natural as possible and not cakey. And I hate foundations that are too white. For a morena skin like me, good thing there a lot of shades available to choose from.

I use Maybelline BB Cream liquid for days my skin is dry, Maybelling BB Cream stick for humid days to avoid too much oil on my face. I also put some Ever Bilena under eye concealer, to hide dark circles.

Once all blemishes are fixed, I conceal everything with Ever Bilena Studio Finish stick foundation, and Fashion 21 pressed powder.  I also have a bag of sponges in-stock haha! 

For my brush kit, I got mine in a travelling size and pouch from Fashion 21. I am no make-up artist so I don't need a 32-piece or more set of brushes, I just need the basic for simple contouring.

I also have a 48 eyeshadow palette from Fashion 21. One of the best cheap thrills I have. I put much effort on contouring my eyes since they're a bit small, so I love contouring them to make my eyes pop! 

I also have with me a cheap pair of falsies, which I haven't used yet haha! I hate the heavy feeling when they're attached. But when special occasions  or shoots arises, I use them. Then that maroon tube is my falsies' glue, the black and white tube is my mascara (which I do not use unless I wear my falsies) and lastly, my lash curler.

Eyeliners are my favorite eye make-up. I love that they make my eyes look bigger and bolder in just a stroke or two. So whenever I want to look even more prettier, I always apply eyeliner up and down my eyelids. My favorites are Fashion 21 waterproof eyeliner, Maybelline hypersharp liner, and Elf waterproof eyeliner pen.

I have a small collection of lipsticks too from left to right: Maybelline natural brown lipstick, Maybelline Chestnut lipstick, Ever Bilena barbie pink lipstick, Ever Bilena pink rose lipstick, and Nichido Ariel lipstick.

If I go out I make sure I have my small make-up bag with me for retouch purposes hehe. It contains my press powder, Fashion 21 blush, EB Advanced smokey eyeshadow, and (I forgot the brand) a contouring palette gifted to me by my boss. And since my lips are chappy, perhaps because I am acidic, I always have with me my Fashion 21 pink lipgloss, Maybelline lip balm (my favorite!), and Nichido red lipstick (another favorite!).

So there you go, hope you enjoyed my make-up bag post haha! There is nothing too fancy or glamorous about my make-up bag and my small make-up collection, but they make me extra beautiful for days I need to be at my most presentable state! I don't use expensive make-up brands, I don't look at the brand actually, I just buy anything that fits my skin.

Behind Those Eyes...

I was once asked what tip I could give to someone new in blogging. At first, I was thinking if  I am in the right position to answer it. I am no blogging pro, nor a knowledgeable person about the whole thing. But still I am proud I was able to give a reasonable answer. hehe

Seriously, when I started  blogging, I never thought of anything but to just let my blog speak for the things I can't say personally. To be a road for my other side to be discovered. To be a haven of my memories (whether they may be good or bad), so one day when life sucks, there's something I can look back on and remind me of how good my life is and that there's no point in stopping but to just move on. Simply saying, my blog is all about me. I never let any insecurities to get in the way. I blog because I want to leave an imprint of my life.  I don't care if the posts may be interesting to many or not, what matters is, I know that every post is a page of my life. I NEVER CHANGED MYSELF TO PLEASE OTHERS. IF I CHANGE,  IT'S BECAUSE I DID IT FOR MYSELF AND NOT FOR ANYONE. Whether you like me or not I won't die anyway hehe. I just blog whatever I feel just as long as nothing will get hurt out of my posts. 

 Never pressure yourself to be the kind of blogger everyone will be liked. No one is perfect and neither you can please everyone. Never blog out of the stupid reason of getting famous after it. Treasure and be happy if there are people (few or many) who believe in you, who read and comment on your posts . They may be few but they are the ones who value you for being you. Your blog reflects you, and for sure the more you become yourself through it, who knows not one but many will get hooked on your life's story. At the end of the day, you can say, this is my blog, this my life and I am proud of it. :)

Vampire

Thought I might share with you my "VAMPIRE LOOK" haha! No my foundation is not that white, it is just that the lighting outside the house did make me like I had my skin bleached! haha! I am currently playing with different make-up palettes it's just now that I discovered my love for cosmetics (late bloomer eh? hehe) This photo shows my first make-up look hope you love it! I am now obsessed with smokey eyes and lashes! Will post more looks soon! :)

Real-time Update: Appear Disappear

Oh yeah I know such a corny title haha! But literally I have been like that for 3 days I think? Internet connection was gone or sometimes it's here but it works so slow hence, either appear online or I disappear haha! Now's only the chance to recover lost times that I should be blogging, working and lurking around haha!

Anyway aside from being offline and online, I attended such a girly girl event last night and below are some sneak peek on my outfit, and on the event proper! I will be blogging about them on the days to come.

I did my own make-up! I am starting to become a make-up addict lately. I own a few but in the last month I started to become more interested to it. Perhaps, I need to learn to put make-up since I will be doing this regularly for my shop's photo shoot. I will be helping my dear friend Patricia on the hair and make-up of our model-friends. So it's nice that at some point, I know a few make-up tricks hehe.

And because I am now officially a make-up addict, I will try my best to share some make-up tutorials, and my monthly make-up hauls. Or maybe my make-up kit? haha! 

Since the event is something girly girly, I chose to wear something pink. I am excited to share with you my outfit post! But for now just enjoy the teaser photos hehe.

And to cap this week off... FINALLY! My 50mm lens is back!!! I missed it so much that right after I claimed it on my new-found technician, I hugged it like there's no tomorrow haha! 

I was able to use it for an outfit shoot and below is the  result...

Why I love Maybelline

Most of you does not know that I am such a make-up lover. It all started when I was in college. We had an acquaintance party then and I knew I had to be at my best so I have to know how I'm gonna apply make-up to myself. The first time I tried putting some on my face, I just looked like a clown with too dark eye shadows and too red lips haha! But with constant practice, and a bit of watching make-up tutorials, I got the right trick on applying!

One of the make-up brands my mom and I love is MAYBELLINE. I must say, among the foreign brands of make-up I have seen in the malls, this one offers quality and affordable price. I am not much a fan of  too expensive make-ups, not unless, I really liked it. I still spend much on shoes and bags. Maybelline is jsut the perfect combination of quality and affordability for me.

Here let me show you what I recently got:

*2 MOISTURE EXTREME LIPSTICKS in both shades of brown, the other one is chestnut shade and the other I forgot haha but I both love them! Swear they really make your lips soft, smooth and shiny! I still find brownish shades of lipsticks sexier than the red hues.

* HYPER SHARP EYE LINER which is my number favorite!!!!I cannot live without this on my eyes! I have fairly small eyes and this one can turn my eyes bigger and more attractive! I suggest you go get one too!

*BERRY LIP BALM the smell is so yummy and the taste too! I use this daily whenever my lips come a bit choppy. 

*BB CREAM another number 1 favorite from Maybelline! This is so nice and even outs blemishes plus it can go alone even without foundation! It makes your face smooth no matter how much foundation and powder you put on. 

DO YOU LOVE MY MAKE-UP IN THIS PHOTO? haha! I did this myself using those pieces above! I am so happy with the result! :) I am now thinking to do a make-up video tutorial! Some are asking me how do I do my smokey eyes! I shall think about it haha! I am not so good in videos but I will try to make one:)
