10A Alabama Arts & Crafts Fair

FIRST DAY

SECOND DAY

If there's a bazaar that's close to my heart, it's 10A ALABAMA arts and crafts fair. It feels like home to be there. You feel at ease and happy. I tend to reunite with my co-crafter friends, and chat about endless possibilities in crafting. The buying crowd is really into handmade stuffs they really appreciate works unlike those crowds of buyers I have seen in other bazaars, some mock your work or make jokes out of it but it's okay kahit na may onting ouch sa heart haha!

Never did I imagine that a small and hidden place like Alabama would be that crowded for the two days that I was there. It feels so happy to see people smiling and loving your masterpiece. Shopping your items and hear good praises. It may be a two-day tiring and perspiring day, but all is really worth it.

I never had the chance to roam around, and take pictures, but I am pretty sure there will be more Arts and Crafts fair coming! To all those who dropped by my booth, said their hi's and hello's and of course to those who shopped my cobwebs and accessories, a big big thank you!!! Until the next 10A Alabama Arts and Crafts fair!

to see more pictures, I'll post soon on Simone's Closet facebook page!

November Alabama Arts & Crafts Fair

I am the type of person who believes that a good company of people is not measured by how big or popular the group you belong. I would rather have a few friends or a small group of company than bigger ones, because I am pretty sure that we understand and appreciate each other.

Being part of the 10A Alabama group, made me feel extra important and appreciated. The people there are just warm and friendly that even though we're of different age groups, we still bond like sisters/brothers.

I am just thankful enough that I belong to a company of warm people that even if we meet seldom- once we see each and other and chat- it always feel like we've met yesterday. That's how enthusiastic and kind the alabamers are :)

So last November 10, I was so lucky to showcase my handmade fabric accessories.

I set this whole up! yay!:)

I was alone selling from morning until 3pm. The crafts fair was a bit laid-back not as aggressive and as crowded as the usual bazaars I join BUT to tell you honestly, the crowd of shoppers are the right market for my products. They appreciate handmade and they definitely look for something different.
At first I was a bit sad that around 3pm I still don't have any sales yet. But I always remind myself that I am here to showcase my works, and even if I make a sale or not, it's worth it. Aside from the profit, it's still the appreciation and the reaction of the shoppers towards my products that matter to me. All along I was thinking that perhaps my necklaces are too overwhelming to wear or too colorful for the shoppers' liking, BUT... to my surprise, around 4pm  onwards, shoppers start to attack my booth! yay!!!

she must be my lucky charm hehehe! :) she visited me around 3:30pm in the afternoon
my lovely client! she's so pretty with my cobweb necklace. These are just some of the shoppers who bought my cobweb necklaces and braid bracelets. hubby and I were not able to take their photos. Before the fair ends, all my cobweb stocks were gone! Sold-out as in. I am so thankful for the shoppers who like my cobwebs so much! :) You made my sleepless nights super worth it! :)

And of course the day wouldn't be complete without a photo with my alabamer friends...
Roma and Maan sisters behind POPJUNKLOVE I miss you both already! :)
and of course Femi na lagi kong kakwentuhan pag art fair :) See you again on the next!

At the end of the day, it really proves that WHEN YOU DO SOMETHING OUT OF LOVE IT WOULDN'T BE IMPOSSIBLE FOR EVERYONE TO NOTICE YOUR CRAFT AND APPRECIATE IT. It's still the love and the effort you put into what you're doing that makes your masterpiece loved by many. This is the reason why I do and love handmade stuffs.

Cheers to all the handmade crafters! Until my next Alabama Fair! :)

Handmade Is Made With Love

I know not all of us can appreciate handmade stuffs. But personally, I myself would rather receive handmade gifts for I know they're made with love and with passion. The reason being is that, we know how much dedication, time, effort, and heart the crafter put into it that made it so unique and special! Handmade stuffs will always be special and precious! Nag-iisa lang naks! :)

Tomorrow, I am inviting you guys to come and visit the 10A ALABAMA ARTS AND CRAFTS FAIR at 10A Alabama St. New Manila Quezon City starting tomorrow until Sunday 12 nn to 7pm!

I will be there tomorrow the whole day! And of course I will be selling my handmade stuffs earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and headwraps! Below are some snippets of what I will be selling! I have new necklace designs and colors yey!!!:)

PHOTO DIARY: 10A Alabama Arts & Crafts Fair

Like I told ya guys I joined yet again the 10A Alabama Arts and Crafts fair last April 14 and this time I shared space with my kumare Andie Bordallo of The Pinup Girl Store! I am not usually joining bazaars unless it is near my place, organized by my friends, or if I share space with people I know. It is not about the sales at all, it is about also the camaraderie with the people I get to bond with that I treasure the most.

I always enjoy chatting with Andie and the other crafters/sellers in the fair. We all have the same passion of crafting and making the most of out recycled materials. I was really in awe seeing all the wonderful masterpieces each and everyone of us shared that day. I thought, if only most people in this Earth knows how to recycle in their own little ways, what a great help we can do to our Mother Earth! I wish to join more bazaars like this!

By the way do you love crafting too?! :)

If you want to see more photos of the fair, and the wonderful items Andie and I sold that day, click here! I have lots of braid bracelets for sale on Simone's Closet 37th collection! So stay-tuned!
