But when I went out of Treston I heard someone calling me, and hey it's Kookie! Of course, that moment is so precious! I grabbed the chance to chat with her and have a photo with her too! I so love you Kookie to bits! :) I hope you'll be able to read this! :) You always look beautiful and fierce! :)

I am looking forward to the next Bloggers United event, I know it will be a hit too! Congrats to Aisa, Ana and Melai and the rest of the team for the wonderful event!

Smooth Criminal

photos by hubby

I can really say that my style evolves around two things, comfort and style. I had one period in my life (that was when I was still working in an advertising agency) when all I could think of is to wear a look that I always think of inside my head. I wore high heels, frilly skirts, thick tights to work and even put-on my hat to finish the look, but I get  tired of it especially that I commute everyday and that choice to look fashionable over to be more practical has lead me to somewhat rediscover what my style really is. I am a commuter (and I know a lot of you can relate) and being too dressy for a jeepney ride is a big no-no! Yes you can be fasyon, but at least try to be a bit "normal" to the eyes of many since you don't want to magnet evil vibes right? haha! And when I say it's normal, that means a fasyon outfit sans the heels. hehe! I seem to get used to this look and I must say, I love it! I love flats and boots more than wedges and high heels though I use them for photo shoots, but in real life when walking along the streets is the game, flats is my ultimate bestfriend!

By the way I wore this look last Saturday at the BLOGGERS UNITED 2, and I must say, I got a lot of good  feedback in this outfit! I have more backlog posts to share but since I am still on a high with the BU2 event, I thought I can share first what I wore on that day! More about the event soon! :)  Again to all my blog readers who I met that day, thank you, most especially to Lilli Abatayo! :)

See You At Bloggers United Part 2

One of the events I am looking forward this December...

I hope to meet you all my dear blog readers at the Bloggers United part 2 on December 3!!! Here are further details about the event:

Manila’s finest fashion bloggers will leave their laptops at home once again to attend BLOGGERS UNITED BAZAAR (Part 2) on December 3, 2011 at Treston International College, Taguig, this coming holiday season.

It is the second installment of the first-ever Bloggers United: An Interactive Shopping Affair, which was held last May. Due to insistent demand from readers and bloggers alike, Bloggers United team in partnership with the country’s largest online shopping website, Multiply Philippines have gathered Manila’s fashion bloggers to sell their pre-loved but very stylish closet pieces!

This event is the perfect opportunity for both bloggers and their adoring readers to mingle and personally interact with each other. Fun contests and exciting giveaways from sponsors and entertaining performances from bloggers (Walkie Talkies, Reese & Vica) themselves will definitely keep this event from being a dull one.

Some of the notable bloggers attending the event include Divine Lee, Laureen Uy, Kookie Buhain, Lissa Kahayaon, David Guison, Karl Leuterio, Patricia Prieto and Preview Magazine’s own Daryl and Andre Chang.

But because Bloggers United wishes to go beyond the geographic limitations of the archipelago and extend its reach beyond Metro Manila and so for this event, they are flying in some of Cebu’s very own fashion bloggers which include Kryz Uy, Eden Villarba, designer Yves Camingue, Gillian Uang and Mildred Zapanta and a few more.

Part of the proceeds from this event will go to the GMA Kapuso Foundation  for its school building project, a small but significant step to improve the Filipino youth’s access to education.

The organizers behind BLOGGERS UNITED BAZAAR (PART 2) are Ana Gonzales, Melai Entuna and Aisa Ipac,  a team of blogger friends encouraging camaraderie and sense of “community” among Manila’s (and eventually, the country’s) fashion blogging community through events and productions like this.

This is a one-day-only event that you shouldn’t really miss! It will be in a bigger venue with twice more the number of participating bloggers to meet! This is the perfect shopping day this Christmas because the most affordable and most fashionable clothes, accessories and footwear will be up for grabs. See you!
