Rawrr

photos by mama

This must be my current favorite OOTD a mix of comfort and fierceness! Got this pants from a thrift shop years ago, and it's so classic that even though trends fade, this piece is very fashion forward. Wear it with a plain tee and I am off to go! I love the hippie comfy vibe of this look! :)

How are you doing guys? :)

Desert Moon

The first thign that came into my mind when I was uploading these photos, my blog post for this would be best entitled, DESERT MOON hahha! the background is so much like those drought-y desert. I am so much in love with that grassy picturesque, and golden sunlight! Super perfect on my bohemian wanderlust look! :) And so I googled for the lyrics of Desert  Moon and the first stanza is just so very timing with what I am feeling now! hahaah

But I knew I'd heard that stranger's voice before
I turned to look into her eyes, but she moved away
She was standing in the rain
Trying hard to speak my name
They say first love never runs dry
The waiter poured our memories into tiny cups
We stumbled over words we longed to hear
We talked about the dreams we'd lost, or given up
When a whistle cut the night
And shook silence from our lives
As the last train rolled towards the dune
Those summer nights when we were young
We bragged of things we'd never done
We were dreamers, only dreamers
And in our haste to grow too soon
We left our innocence on Desert Moon
We were dreamers, only dreamers
On Desert Moon, on Desert Moon
On Desert Moon, Desert Moon

EMO?? hahaha! anyways, moving on, I hope you could check out our new uploads at SIMONE'S CLOSET! We've just released the Navajo Collection Part 2! :)

Dare To Be Tougher

I don't know if the weather caught me to thinking a lot of things. When I woke up this morning, I just thought about blogging, crafting, and business. Things second important to my life next to my family. I've always wanted to establish myself with these three. To be known thru my identity. If my family accepts me for who I am, loves me no matter what happens, and never competes for my success and happiness, in the real world, blogging and business is a big vague world. You never know who to trust, and who not. I have to be, no, I need to be tougher.

EMPTY YOU MIND, FOCUS. --- a line I heard from Karate Kid movie. It's short but it's deep. I need this in my life actually. I need to empty my mind to be able to focus. Life is like a Kung Fu as the movie say, to be able to win you have to lose everything, to fill in what's needed. You have to be patient, and focus both your mind and heart.

Lately, I have been bothered with a lot of things. First, I felt bad about the recent bazaars I have been joining. I realized that not all bazaars are for Simone's Closet. Not all will appreciate my works. Second, I am bothered with a lot of copycats duplicating my designs and even calling them the same name as I have given my products. Selling them too here and there. These two bug me down. I mean we all have our moments when we feel down. It's like I've did so much but still I feel like it isn't enough.

But you know what, after contemplating about these two issues for the entire day, plus taking into consideration the advice of my hubby, parents, and my close friends, plus the continuous support of my lovely and loyal clients who always expresses how they love my works so much- I've realized how far I've become since day one. How much improvement I was able to make in the 4 years of business and crafting. That not these two issues will be the reason to bug me down, never.

"Everything will be okay in the end. If it's not okay then it's not the end"

Life is not all about me. Things won't always go my way. People will love me , hate me, ignore me, fool me, problems will be there but they will never let me down. I maybe down at times maybe because I needed it. I needed to be down for me to lift myself. I may feel things may not be enough, or going as I wanted to be, simply because it's not yet the end. I am not yet to end. I just needed to be tougher when harder times try to squeeze me.

Mad Clash

So, how's your day so far? It has been a stormy weekend and today's just another one. Bet you are all taking this opportunity to rest and do the things you like doing. Swerte kasi walang pasok sa school haha! But nonetheless, it's alarming to know that there are a lot of people affected by this typhoon. So while we are enjoying our rest day, let's pray also that the rain stops asap. I still love the sun more than anything else! :)

Moving on, I spent my weekend on my booth at the Grand Bazaar. It came out just fine but I have learned a few things that I'd like to share with you and to those who would like to start their bazaar adventures, but that I guess deserves another entry.  So yeah, moving on, I'd like to show you what I wore yesterday! As you can see, the outfit's a total clash of prints haha! And a total clash of mood, well there's that hippie/boho vibes, and that edgy, rocker feel! haha! I still love it anyway. I am not used to dressing in too fitted clothes haha! But I just gave it a try, how do you find it? haha! I hope I look fine. :)

Tribal Robot

The dress I am wearing here is a favorite thrift treasure of mine! I remember getting it for only P70 on a random ukay store I once dropped by a year ago. It may look too festive, but I love it to bits! This was what I wore on the 2nd day of the 10A ALABAMA ARTS AND CRAFTS FAIR held last July 20-21. My cobweb necklace really did blend well with the entire look!

Hope you are all doing great today! I have to rush to finish my work stuffs. I need to prepare for Marise's birthday party in her school next week!  I just came to realize today her big day is next week already! I only have less than two weeks to prepare.Yay! :)

By The River

I've been wanting to tour Intramuros and take a whole day trip plus 10 outfits and just take outfit photos on every beautiful and scenic corners inside! Hubby and I are planning about this when I got invited and be part of the relaunching of Intramuros particularly the MAESTRANZA PARK near Escolta and the Pasig River. And I am so lucky! I may not bring 10 outfits and shoot 10 outfit posts, but what matters is I get to savor the richness of the place for a whole entire day!

The place is so majestic and pictures how the history was in the past! The walls, the structures, the bridges all look so nostalgic and different from the usual backgrounds I usually have on my outfit photos. My outfit was kinda too girly for the venue haha but I must say the colors really pop out from the gray and brown hues of the background.

I can't wait to go back again and see more places! It's still really nice to be in the Philippines!
