Love Your Body

Back when I was still in college, I am so self conscious that I won't eat at all. I pass breakfast, lunch, and dinner and just drink Fit N Right. Well, for the sake of having that slim body. Take note I had 25" waist then and no flabby tummy. I do workouts and strict diet. But I was not happy. Yeah I get to wear the sexy form fitting dresses, I can wear bikinis, but I still am not happy. I realized just when I had Marise, that loving your body is not at all pointing out to the idea if having that "ideal body" or having a "thinspiration" or achieving a certain waistline. I may have the sexiest body but I don't get to eat what I want. I starve myself or change my meals to food that I normally don't eat, well just for the sake of slashing off calories. But come to think of it, it's much more fun to eat, and drink what you want. And care less of what could happen to my body after eating. I swear, if I was too body conscious before, now I just love my body for what it is. I appreciate every flab, every inches I gain, and every pound that adds up on my weigh because at the end of the day it's still me.

I just can't understand why such young teens tend to diet, do boxing, and other work-outs just to be skinny. When at their age they should be enjoying eating, and be just themselves. I guess the idea of dieting, and exercise and being fit as well as being sexy have been taken into different perspectives. It's okay to diet, to exercise and be fit, but doing too much and blaming yourself for being fat and not being thin as the models you see on magazines is really something wrong.

In this modern world we have right now, I salute to the girls who see themselves beautiful and sexy regardless of what body shape they have. I salute big girls, fat girls, pear-shaped girls and even thin girls who appreciate themselves for who they are. I just wish that more girls/women would just be themselves, and love their bodies and never blame themselves for not being somebody else. :)

  1. Yay for women with curves! I'm terribly not proportioned too. My upper body is way thinner than the rest of me. But I've learned to manage. Now I just try to go for healthier options, not to loose weight in particular, but to be a better version of myself both physically and mentally :)

  2. You look really good! :) This outfit flatters your figure. Buti ka pa you can wear classic pumps--that kind of shoes just slips off my heels. xD
